The Iowa Hawkeyes (5-4) dropped their second straight game, this time to the in-state rival Iowa State Cyclones (7-2), with a final scoreline of 90-65. They trailed for nearly 39 minutes of the game in essentially a wire-to-wire affair.
The Hawks couldn’t capitalize on ISU’s propensity to foul and looked overwhelmed on both sides of the court. The Cyclones rebounded 30.3% of their misses to finish with 17 second chance points and 46 in the paint. They also turned 19 Hawkeye turnovers into 25 points.
