Stoll to Compete at UWW Junior Worlds

IOWA CITY, Iowa –- University of Iowa freshman Sam Stoll competes at the United World Wrestling Junior World Championships on Wednesday in Salvador, Brazil.

Stoll is competing at 120 kg (264 lbs.) for the United States’ Greco-Roman team. It is his second time competing at the international championships featuring the world’s top 17-20 year-old wrestlers. He won a bronze medal at this event in 2013.

Stoll weighs in Tuesday at 4:15 p.m. (CT). The opening ceremonies begin Tuesday at 6 p.m., and Stoll’s qualification round begins Wednesday at 9 a.m. The finals are Wednesday at 5 p.
