PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. -- The University of Iowa baseball team erupted for a season-high 15 runs on 19 hits in a 15-3 victory over Chicago State on Sunday morning in its Snowbird Classic finale.
"Offensively we had quality at-bats up and down the lineup all day long," said UI head coach Rick Heller. "A lot of guys swung it well. It was one of those days we needed to break out with the bats and it was a good way to end the trip. We feel good about ourselves heading home.
