Despite a 70-84 loss at #21 Michigan State on Sunday, senior post player Megan Gustafson scored 30 points and in the process passed Ally Disterhoft (2,102 points) and the late Roy Marble (2,116 points) to become the career scoring leader at the University of Iowa.
With 20 games left this season and with a scoring average of around 25 points per game, Gustafson could add around 500 points to her current total of 2,124 points, putting her sixth all-time in the Big Ten Conference. First up to break into the top ten is former Nebraska player Jordan Hooper who ended her career with 2,357 points.
