IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The black team won 10 events to post a 94-79 victory over the gold team in the University of Iowa swimming and diving team’s intrasquad meet Friday night at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium.
“This meet was a lot of fun,” said UI head coach Marc Long. “You could tell we have a hungry bunch of student-athletes. This was a fun meet to break up training to get ready for next week. The student-athletes were competing all night.”
The black team opened the meet with a win in the women’s 200-medley relay with the quartet of sophomore Carly O’Brien, junior Emma Sougstad, and seniors Allie Orvis and Olivia Kabacinski touching in 1:43.
