Through 36 holes, host LSU sits atop the 14-team field at two-over-par (578). Kansas State is in second (+12; 588) and Liberty is in third (+13; 589).
Carson Schaake led the way for the Hawkeyes, posting rounds of 69 and 73 for a total of 142 (-2). The sophomore currently sits in third place.
Junior Nate Yankovich followed, carding an even par 72 on the first 18 holes before notching a 76 (+4) on the second.
