IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa forward Aaron White was chosen with the 49th overall selection in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards Thursday evening.
White (6-foot-9, 220 pounds) becomes the 53rd Iowa men’s basketball player to be selected in an NBA Draft and second in as many years (Devyn Marble picked 56th overall in 2014 draft). It marks the first time since 1998 (Ricky Davis and Ryan Bowen) and 1999 (J.R. Koch) that Hawkeyes have been selected by back-to-back NBA drafts. White becomes Iowa’s 19th Hawkeye to be selected in the top two rounds.
