Well folks, GAME WEEK IS HERE! And by golly, it’s already a weird one. Kirk Ferentz and Jon Budmayr have been suspended for the season opener because of a recruiting violation involving Cade McNamara and a text message (rumor has it, said message was from Kirk to Cade and was simply an invite to be friends on Candy Crush), so for the first time since 1999, we’ll have a new (albeit temporary) head coach for the Hawkeyes: Seth Wallace.
But we’ll get into that later. For now, Kirk is still our man, and he’s still meeting with the media on Tuesday afternoons to reminisce about the good ole days and sometimes talk about his current football team.
