Since Saturday, there has been a lot of social media chatter between fans from the two schools. There is a large portion of the Penn State fanbase that has claimed they would have easily won had Sean Clifford not been injured in Jack Campbell. Following the game, Penn State coach James Franklin began his post game press conference by addressing the fact that he was upset by the Iowa fans booing stoppages in play for a downed Penn State defensive player.
Tensions grew even more after Kirk Ferentz spoke during his Tuesday press conference and addressed Franklin’s complaint.
