After a New Year’s Day win over Penn State, the Iowa women’s basketball team has been in a freefall. The Hawkeyes have lost three in a row, including a pair of home matchups to Maryland and Indiana.
Now Iowa looks to turn things around as they play host to our rivals west of the Missouri River as the Nebraska Cornhuskers come to Carver for a must-win game. The Huskers enter the day at 13-4 overall and 4-2 in Big Ten play, putting them in a tie for sixth place. Iowa, meanwhile, fell to 12-5 overall and 2-4 in conference play with their home loss to IU over the weekend.
