The senior center for the Nittany Lions scored 21 points and frustrated Iowa freshman Megan Gustafson as the Hawkeyes turned the ball over 22 times, leading to a 81-68 loss for Iowa (17-12 overall, 7-10 Big 10) on Penn State’s (11-17, 6-11) home court.
Two other statistics from the game which jump out are the disparity in free throw attempts and the number of 3-point attempts. The Nittany Lions attempted 22 free throws, almost three times the number of times that the Hawkeyes got to the line (eight). Those numbers and the margin between them were exactly reversed in terms of 3-point attempts.
