The University of Iowa women’s basketball team (17-11 overall, 7-9 Big 10) won its second consecutive game on Sunday, defeating the Indiana Hoosiers (18-10, 10-6) 76-73 in Carver-Hawkeye arena.
After the Hawkeyes lost the heartbreaker at Minnesota last week, Iowa needed to regroup and win all four of its remaining regular season games to finish at .500 in conference play and give themselves some much needed momentum headed into the Big 10 tournament.
Accomplishing that and having a strong showing in the conference tourney should put the Hawkeyes back in the conversation for an at-large bid in the NCAA tournament.
