Iowa WBB routs Wisconsin 81-54 in Big Ten Tournament opener

The Iowa Hawkeyes don’t want to stop playing basketball, and it showed tonight in the first round of the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament, as Jan Jensen’s squad routed the Wisconsin Badgers, 81-54 in Indianapolis.

It was a true masterclass for Iowa, lead by none other than Lucy Olsen, who was in her bag all night long, scoring 19 points on 8-12 shooting and 3-4 from deep; she also added 3 assists, 2 rebounds, and a steal. It was a balanced effort from there from the Hawkeyes, with the entire bench earning minutes in the rout. Syd Affolter, Taylor McCabe, and Kylie Fuerbach all finished the night with 9 points, while Aaliyah Guyton was huge off the bench with two 3-pointers for 6 total points and 4 assists, 3 rebounds, and a steal.
