Iowa takes a break from Big Ten play, but still can't find the winning formula at home.
Home field had been a saving grace for Iowa baseball this season -- prior to this recent eight-game homestand, Iowa had gone 10-2 in the friendly confines of Duane Banks Field. Unfortunately, that home field advantage has diminished over the course of this current stretch of home games -- after losing two of three to Kansas State (their second straight home series loss) over the weekend Iowa is just 3-4 in this homestand and 13-6 overall at home. The weather again reared its ugly head and impacted the schedule as Saturday's game was postponed and Iowa played a double-header with Kansas State on Sunday.
