I’m not going to lie, these are getting harder and harder to do. The Hawks are still playing and yet ‘playing’ feels like giving them too much credit. Iowa is still legally obligated to put a team on the floor each and every night and they continue to meet that obligation.
Every 4-5 games they catch fire and remind us all of what once was under Fran McCaffery and this 2024-2025 version of the team. But then we see the second half of the blowout loss at Maryland and it’s so hard to even think about watching another game.
