This weekend the University of Iowa IceHawks are on a bye week, so I thought I’d get you caught up on the season so far. My last article talked about how the IceHawks were off to a 2-0-1 start. This past weekend they had a home and home series against the Iowa State Cyclones, where the Iowa Hawkeyes unfortunately lost both games. Here is a recap of both games.
Last Friday nights game took place in Ames. The Iowa Hawkeyes were given their first regulation loss by the score of 6-2. The Cyclones got out to an early 4-0 lead until Freshman Jake Rott got them on the board in the second period.
