The Iowa Hawkeyes traveled to Champaign, Illinois, for a three-game series to wrap up the Big Ten regular season. The Hawks went 1-2. Based on preseason expectations, it has not been a stellar year for the Hawkeyes on the diamond, but Iowa baseball is still in a very good place. Game one saw the Hawkeyes lose 10-5 to the Illini. Cade Obermueller got roughed up going just 1 2⁄3 innings, giving up 5 earned runs. Obermueller has been tremendous this year. Aaron Savary went 2 1⁄3 innings and also was knocked around a little bit.
