The idea in competitive sports is to improve as the season moves along. The Iowa Hawkeyes baseball team has yet to live up to its expectations this year, but the Hawks do have a five-game win streak going. The Hawkeyes are 23-15 (9-6 B1G) with a 16-3 record at home. Iowa swept Rutgers this past weekend, outscoring the Scarlet Knights 28-7, and took care of UW-Milwaukee 12-6 on 4/23/24. The Hawkeyes travel to Nebraska for a three-game series this weekend. The Hawks are in 5th place in the Big Ten behind Illinois (10-2), Nebraska (8-4), Purdue (8-4), and Michigan (10-5).
