A few weeks ago, it was noted that Henry Geil wasn’t on the 110-man fall roster for the Iowa football team, which led us to speculate that he would likely be leaving the team.
Now, as first reported by David Eickholt, the redshirt freshman running back has officially entered the transfer portal.
What’s next for the Green Bay, Wisconsin product though?
Coming out of high school, Geil was listed as a 3-star running back who held 8 offers. His offer list included Iowa State, Michigan State, Indiana, Western Michigan.
Wherever he lands, he will almost certainly need to sit out a year, giving him three years to compete for a job.
