The Iowa Hawkeyes are heading back to California to take on the HATED USC Trojans in the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 27.
The Trojans went 8-4 on the year, and 7-2 in conference play. USC is riding a 4-game winning streak after starting the year 3-3. USC picked up a signature win early in the year, handing Utah its only loss of the regular season way back in September.
USC is 40-21 under Clay Helton, who’s in his fourth year at the helm of the program. He was on the hot seat after putting together a 5-7 year in 2018, but probably bought himself time after salvaging what looked like a runaway train of 2019.
