Iowa football: Three positives from the disappointing loss to Penn State

Related Topics: Iowa, Geno Stone

If you were like me Saturday afternoon, then you were an emotional roller coaster. The Iowa football team got off to a hot start against Penn State like they needed to in a hostile environment, but then let it slip away with bad plays, bad play calling, and a few good plays by Penn State to end the half tied 17-17. Although an ugly half, it was a half that the Iowa football team could have easily ended up 24-7, but I won’t get into that a ton.

The Hawkeyes came out flat in the second half and Penn State marched out to a ten point lead before signs of life began showing in our beloved Iowa football team in the form of a forced fumble and a momentum-shifting pick-six by freshman Geno Stone.
