The redshirt junior from Larchwood, Iowa was penciled in as one of the for sure aspects of the Hawkeye secondary after the 2016 campaign. With the injury, players like Jake Gervase and Amani have filled in to mixed results through the first 4 games of the season.
Last season Snyder was the leading tackler in the secondary with 85, and was only behind ‘tackling machines’, linebackers Josey Jewell and Bo Bower. Snyder also tied for the team high in interceptions with 3 with the defending Jim Thorpe Award winner Desmond King.
It was a bit of a surprise for Hawkeye fans to hear that Snyder is going to be back as Kirk Ferentz explained in his teleconference via Hawkeye Sports:
He’s doing more and more with each week.
