The Iowa football team lost another player from their 2017 recruiting class as Josh Turner entered the Twitter world after a mandatory Hawkeye hiatus to announce his intentions to leave the program Monday.
Turner, a former three-star recruit from Delray Beach, Florida has seen much playing time since joining the Iowa football team. After redshirting his first year in Iowa City, Turner didn’t get much more playing time in his second season only seeing the field on special teams where he accumulated five tackles.
In addition to the lack of playing time this season, the future at the cornerback position is relatively murky with the emergence of true freshman Julius Brents and Riley Moss underneath junior Michael Ojemudia and sophomore Matt Hankins.
