Tow the boat!
Ihmir Smith-Marsette spurned Rutgers over a week ago, decommitting from the Scarlet Knights after taking a visit to Iowa City. Then he took a visit to Minnesota and almost immediately committed there. Then in a matter of a day, he decided he didn’t like Minnesota and decided to de-commit. Now, he’s signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Iowa Hawkeyes. The hits just keep on comin’ for powerhouses Rutgers and Minnesota.
Smith-Marsette’s 247 Sports page lists him as a cornerback, which is presumably what he was being committed to play for the other two schools he had committed to.
