The Iowa football team is known for producing great defensive backs, especially recently. Before it was Amani Hooker, it was Josh Jackson, and before that, it was Desmond King. In four years, the Iowa football team staked claim to three Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year awards and including King’s 2016 second-team All-American honors, claimed four straight All-American honors.
With Hooker gone, a big question this offseason was who would step up.
So far, it’s been senior corner Michael Ojemudia who leads the team with 2 interceptions this season, tied for 2nd most in the nation.
