There were some lowlights, but the Hawkeyes largely controlled the game yesterday in a 20-0 win over the Northwestern Wildcats in Evanston. The win was Iowa’s second straight after suffer back-to-back losses at the hands of top-25 foes Michigan and Penn State.
After yesterday, those losses look a little less bad, though they’re still plenty frustrating. Michigan demolished previously #8 Notre Dame 45-14 while Penn State leaned on Michigan State 28-7. Today, both move up in the national polls, as do the Hawkeyes
In the Coaches Poll, a week after climbing ahead of Michigan, the Hawkeyes have now dropped back below them thanks to that big win against Notre Dame last night.
