Well, a win is a win, even if it wasn’t the prettiest. The Iowa football team’s defense got their second shutout of the season against a Big Ten opponent, and Iowa’s offense continued to take steps, albeit tiny steps, in their 20-0 victory over Northwestern.
Furthermore, we at least saw two (arguably three) of the four things we should have been looking for in Evanston and a few young guys stepped up big in this Big Ten road game.
With Wisconsin losing today (as expected) to Ohio State, the Iowa football team is in quite a good position to make a run at the Big Ten West title.
