We are two weeks away from our first actual game week of Iowa football’s 2020 season and with each passing day we get some additional clarity on the season. We have an official schedule for the third time this year and with media availability for both players and coaches over the next few days, we’re likely to have our first official depth chart as well.
Ahead of that media availability, we got news on Monday night that the Hawkeyes are expecting to be playing this season without two returning players on defense. We reported a week ago that starting linebacker Djimon Colbert was expected to opt out of the season after a death in his family due to COVID-19.
