The decision to lead the Hawkeyes, and return to Iowa City eventually won out, and Wadley is beginning to get the pre-season attention that some might expect.
The ‘Iowa Faithful’ haven’t had the opportunity to get excited about a running back returning like this in some time. Shonn Greene would have been a Heisman favorite in 2009, but it took him the total time of the walk from the Outback Bowl field to the press room to announce his pro intentions. Other promising stars didn’t work out, or transferred before their senior year as well.
While it is no shock to Hawkeye fans that get to watch #25 perform every week, it can be expected that more national ‘experts’ and pundits like Todd McShay will be ‘wowed’ by Wadley’s ability to elude defenders.
