IOWA FOOTBALL ADDS TENTH ASSISTANT TO STAFF

Iowa football added a tenth coach to its staff today, bringing over Derrick Foster from Samford University.

Foster spent the last two years in Birmingham as a running backs coach for Samford University. Prior to that, he coached running backs and wide receivers for Northwestern State University in Louisiana (yes, that Northwestern State University).

In 2012, he was the running backs coach and a recruiting coordinator for the Tennessee Volunteers, where he helped recruit the states of California, Texas, Kansas, New York, Arizona, and Illinois.

Foster played college ball at Southwest Baptist College in Missouri, where he was a three-year starter as a wide receiver, ending his career with 93 catches.
