The Iowa football coaching staff got a bit of unlucky news when Iowa City West wide receiver and four-star recruit, Oliver Martin committed to play football for the Michigan Wolverines in January 2017.
Most thought he would stay in town and play for the Hawkeyes, but off he went to Ann Arbor. Martin didn’t see the field at all in his freshman season in Jim Harbaugh‘s offense but worked his way into the mix a little bit last season. He hauled in 11 receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown.
He was projected to take the next step and have a larger role in the Wolverine’s offense in 2019.
