Iowa football: 3 breakthrough players for Hawks in 2019

The Iowa football team received some good news on Monday when former Iowa City West high school standout and Michigan Wolverine announced that he would be transferring back home to play for the Hawkeyes.

He will likely have to sit out a year unless he can find a loophole in the NCAA transfer rules. That being said, he figures to be a great addition to a 2020 recruiting class. As for this year’s team, the Hawkeyes will try to follow up on a 9-4 season in which they beat the number one defense in Mississippi State in the Outback Bowl.
