At the end of the season, junior reserve shooting guard Maishe Dailey announced his intention to transfer from the University of Iowa and the Iowa basketball program.
After an up and down season mired in controversy thanks to a hot-mic comment made by Iowa basketball announcer Gary Dolphin and a decrease in playing time, it came as no surprise when the former 3-star recruit from Beachwood, Ohio decided he would seek ample opportunities elsewhere for his remaining year of collegiate basketball.
With five players joining the program next year including two guards (CJ Fredrick and Joe Toussaint) and a forward who can play the 2 (Patrick McCaffery), Dailey figured to have a tough time even maintaining the limited amount of minutes he received this year.
