Iowa Basketball: Jarrod Uthoff Earns NABC Honor

The NABC announced its choices for players of the year and the John R. Wooden Award All-American teams on Tuesday, and Uthoff was one of three players out of the Big 10 to appear on the list.

Uthoff was one of two Big 10 players on the Wooden All-American third team, joined by Indiana’s Yogi Ferrell. Denzel Valentine of Michigan State was named to the first team and selected as Division I Player of the Year.

Uthoff became the first Hawkeye named to this list in nearly four decades. The last Iowa player selected was Ronnie Lester, who was a third-team honoree in 1979.
