The wait and anticipation is over. Little over one week after Beth Goetz announced the Hawkeyes were moving on from head basketball coach Fran McCaffery, Iowa’s has found his replacement.
The fanbase has been eagerly awaiting an answer on this roller coaster ride of news. When West Virginia was unexpectedly left out of the NCAA Tournament, their coach and Iowa native Darian DeVries was suddenly available earlier than expected. He had been mentioned as an Iowa candidate dating back to last season and rumors started to heat up that Goetz was working with DeVries to get something done.
