After their first Big Ten loss back on Thursday to the Maryland Terrapins, the Iowa Hawkeyes needed a bounce back win at home against the Northwestern Wildcats.
To say this game was a must win is silly, but the Hawks couldn’t afford to lose back to back games. Especially when you consider how much better Iowa is than Northwestern.
Well, there would be no let down as the Hawkeyes pummeled the Wildcats by a score of 85-71. That final score is not indicative of how overmatched Northwestern was either. With under six minutes left in the game, the Hawkeyes were sporting a 76-47 lead.
