Despite their best efforts for much of this season, the Iowa Hawkeyes have made it to March and are poised to take part in postseason play. Now, we aren’t talking about getting Mad Again like Fran McCaffery promised us in his intro to the program, but the Hawkeyes did put forth a solid effort in their regular season finale at Nebraska to finish 15th in the conference and make the Big Ten Tournament.
To be completely fair to this group of Hawkeyes, Iowa actually finished in a five-way tie for 12th place and due to tiebreakers, becomes the 15 seed for the tournament while the Cornhuskers fall out of postseason play.
