After one of the worst starts to a basketball game in recent memory, the Iowa Hawkeyes emerged victorious on Wednesday night in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. The Hawkeyes shot 42% from deep en route to a 77-70 win over the #10 seed Ohio State.
It was a stellar performance from Iowa in a largely un-Iowa fashion. The Hawkeyes held the Buckeyes to just 23% shooting from deep and 42% shooting overall while keeping the rebounding almost even. It was a game where Iowa struggled shooting the ball early and turned the ball over an uncharacteristic amount, but the Hawkeyes found a rhythm and some defense.
