The Iowa Hawkeyes haven’t been 6-0 to start Big Ten play since 1987. Well, with their defeat of the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Thursday night in New Jersey, Iowa hit that 6-0 mark.
What started off as a blow out in the making, quickly became a good game as Rutgers used a lot of hustle to claw their way back into a game that could’ve gotten out of hand very quickly.
The Hawkeyes jumped out to a 15-4 lead and Peter Jok had 11 of those points. After Adam Woodbury picked up his second foul, the Knights started to slowly creep back into the game.
