The state of Indiana has not been kind to the Iowa Hawkeyes this year. Iowa basketball was trounced by Purdue early this month losing 104-68, allowing the Boilermakers to shoot 63% from the field and 55.9% from three. It was ugly but Mackey Arena is one of the toughest places to play in the Big Ten and Purdue was on a winning streak.
Against Indiana, it was more of the same. With 12 minutes left in the first half, Luka Garza hit a three to cut Indiana lead to three. Going into the under-12 media timeout, things looked alright.
