Your Iowa Baseball Hawkeyes flew all the way down to Round Rock, Texas, over the weekend to take on conference foe #18 Michigan four times, losing three of those games by a combined 16 runs.
The lone Hawkeye win came on the first leg of a doubleheader on March 7. Iowa seven inning’d the Wolverines 8-3, on an effort where 5 of Iowa’s 8 hits came off doubles.
Senior catcher Austin Martin led the way for Iowa’s bats, going 2-4 at the plate. Freshman first baseman Peyton Williams got Iowa on the board first by doubling in the bottom of the first to bring in Izaya Fullard.
