The Iowa Hawkeyes used a 28-2 run across the first and second quarters to build an insurmountable lead over the visiting Toledo Rockets. After the 94-57 win, the Hawks move 3-0 ahead of a Sunday tilt at Drake.

Hannah Stuelke led the way with 17 points, including 9/9 from the charity stripe. Lucy Olsen added an efficient 14 points on 9 shots.

Sydney Affolter got her first start of the season after offseason knee surgery. She finished with 11 points on 4/6 shooting as she continued to build confidence in her body. Big Dog looked much more comfortable driving to the hoop in the second half, including a 1v2 possession where she nabbed an errant Toledo pass in the Rockets’ backcourt and got the bucket before Iowa’s cavalry came.
