Barring a (not so) minor miracle, Iowa’s chances of winning the Big Ten regular season title died earlier this week following a loss at Michigan State and Maryland + Penn State getting wins on Wednesday evening. But the Hawkeyes still have a top-4 seed in the Big Ten Tournament in play and that’s significant.
To move into position for a double bye, Iowa needs to win its final three games. That starts on Saturday as the Hawkeyes host #16 Penn State. The Nittany Lions had been struggling, dropping games to Illinois and at Indiana, but got back on track on Wednesday with a win over Rutgers.
