The Iowa Hawkeyes (4-2) are heading to East Lansing to take on the Michigan State Spartans (3-3). They’re coming off a bye and have lost three straight games: at Boston College, Ohio State, and at Oregon. Iowa’s last win at Spartan Stadium was in 2012. It was an overtime barnburner of 19-16. Yeesh.
With Kirk Ferentz as head coach, the Hawks are 9-8 against Sparty but will be looking to do something they’ve never done under Ferentz: win three straight against MSU. All time, it’s a 25-22-2 record for Iowa.
Leading the Spartans is Johnathan Smith.
