There are a lot of guys that could get this award. Kaleb Johnson’s electric 11-carry, 119-yard effort fits the bill here. His 64-yard touchdown, his first of two scores on the day, is a reminder of how devastating this guy can be. Open field? Well, that’s a touchdown every time.
Reece Vander Zee is in here too - 5 receptions for 66 yards and two scores himself in his debut. He’s a big target and dependable. He’s a low-key big recruiting win for Iowa (over Iowa State).
