I was chatting with my youngest last night and he imparted on me that, of late, my writing here has been rather pessimistic. He’s not wrong, though I do feel that there has been reason for the downturn in my enthusiasm since August (where I picked Iowa to go lose, at most, 2 games and at least sniff a CFP bid). I, like many oithers, am likely not alone in feeling disappointed this season, but I did take his sentiment to heart, and tbh, I think a little bit of celebration is in order, given that this is Thanksgiving week.
