From the Cheap Seats: 10-ply

Since the fall of 2019, writers (including myself) have spilled a megaliter of ink writing about Iowa’s offensive woes while simultaneously heaping praise on Phil Parker’s defense (and Lavar Woods’ Special Teams units) and wondering (a) how Phil does it and (b) what would Iowa be like with a capable offense?

Well, as of right now, we’ve got a (mostly) competent offense (QB room decimation aside - we’ll get to that next week) with an All-American RB fronting the B1G’s #1 rushing offense (yes, even after a terrible performance against UCLA, Iowa is still the only B1G team averaging more than 200 yards per game on the ground), a passing game that looks like it was formed this century (even if attempts are limited) and scoring north of 29 points per game (good enough for 55th in the country).
