Last night was Iowa's first true road test of the season, and they passed it with flying colors. After starting the season off with warmups against Gardner-Webb and Coppin State, last night was supposed to be the first big challenge of the season for the Hawkeyes. This was a young, but extremely talented team in Marquette that was bolstered in the front court by two near 7-foot former blue-chippers, who were skilled in all areas of the game. This was Marquette, after all. A basketball program with a proud tradition. You are forgiven if you thought this would be a close game, or that Iowa could potentially lose this one.
