The worst fears are true: Drew Ott is done for the season after tearing his ACL, according to Marc Morehouse. Ott suffered the non-contact knee injury on punt block duty in the second half. Ott's leg buckled as he tried to get around a blocker as he pushed upfield; there was nothing untoward or unavoidable about the play.
The injury will cost Ott the remainder of his career as an Iowa Hawkeye.
It's an especially sour ending after Ott's effort to come back so quickly from a dislocated elbow suffered in Week 2 against Iowa State.
