Though the offseason has been going on for the better part of three weeks, the transfer carousel hasn’t made a stop in Iowa City.
Until today.
Cordell Pemsl announced his transfer from the Iowa Hawkeyes earlier today in a classic Friday news dump:
From a pure performance perspective, the transition makes sense. Throughout much of this season, Pemsl saw his role diminish once again. As a redshirt junior, he played just 12 minutes a game and averaged 2.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.2 assists. He also had compounding bad news off the court with a preseason OWI and another arrest for driving with a suspended license.
